OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI

Dear St. Rita School Parents,

Week #3 of on-line learning at St. Rita School seems to be going well. The feedback I have been receiving from the students, teachers, and parents has all been positive. Just a reminder that next week is a 4-day week as we will not be in session on Good Friday, April 10. Spring break will be taken the week of April 13-17. We will open up again on Monday, April 20. Although we have not had an official statement from Governor Lamont about extending school closures, at this juncture I do believe we will still be on-line when we return from spring break.

Thank you to everyone who has sent in their re-enrollment packet. Re-enrollment paperwork can be mailed to the school office for processing. Please be advised that the Smart Financial Aid portal will open on May 1. In order to apply for financial aid your Smart tuition account must be current and you must have already submitted your re-enrollment paperwork and fee. Financial aid will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the money is depleted. If you have not yet re-enrolled for next year, please do so in April so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for financial assistance. If you are having financial difficulty due to current circumstances please contact our school business manager, Paula Nugent at [email protected] as soon as possible for guidance.

Just a reminder that our $10,000 tuition raffle drawing will take place at a date to be determined before the end of the school year. If you have not yet purchased a ticket please do so if you are able. The prize can be used for tuition at any elementary or secondary school or college. The $10,000 may also be used to pay off college loans. Please share this opportunity with your friends and relatives who have children of any age.

This coming Sunday we will celebrate Palm Sunday, marking Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Week is most definitely a very sacred time of the year, for it is how we commemorate and remember the last week of Jesus' life on this earth. It is even more meaningful this year given the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Please take some time on Sunday to celebrate Palm Sunday by watching Mass as a family, thanking God for the gifts you have been blessed with and asking for his protection during this uncertain time.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
Principal

Hello SRS Family and Friends,
We are thinking of you all and missing our St. Rita community! We wanted to send a quick update regarding the Tuition Raffle, which was originally scheduled to be drawn on Saturday, March 28.
We have decided to postpone the drawing for now,
as fundraising efforts are likely far from
everyone’s minds. We have not yet cashed
any of the checks that were collected for the raffle,
and we do not plan to do so until after a drawing.

We will update you with our plans once
things are more settled.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions:  [email protected]

Best,
The HSA Executive Board

Dear SRS Family and Friends,

In light of our school’s closure and advice
that we all practice social distancing,
we have postponed our
Dancing Through the Decades Auction.

More information will be shared as soon
as it is available. In the meantime,
we are missing our St. Rita School
community, and we are sending
prayers for strength and patience
as we all work through this
unprecedented time.

Best,

The HSA Executive Board

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  [email protected] .
