Hi Friends,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week and are enjoying this glimpse into spring that we have had this week.

As you all know, this week was the start of the Lenten season. On Wednesday, we were reminded that we are "dust and to dust we shall return." Ash Wednesday has always been one of my favorite days in the church year. It's not a particularly glamorous day and it doesn't have the fanfare of some of our high holy days, but it does always ground me. The words in the liturgy and the simple, yet powerful act of being marked with ashes serves as a humbling reminder of God's love and of our own mortality. What a way to enter into these next forty days, right?

I want to leave you this week with one of my favorite songs to listen to during Lent, "Beautiful Things" by Gungor. The chorus reminds us that "you make beautiful things out of the dust, you make beautiful things out of us." I hope you have a wonderful and meaningful Lent.

See you on Sunday!

Peace,
Hope

LENTEN "BAKING THROUGH THE BIBLE"
AT SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE
During the season of Lent, the youth at All Saints will be baking through the Bible and learning how to connect with God through bread. We will end our six week journey with hosting the Agape meal and baking bread for the Maundy Thursday foot washing service on April 14th. We hope all youth in 6th-12th grade will join us as we bake in community and see all the ways that bread is tied to scripture and tradition. | Every Sunday in Lent from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in The Attic. Dinner provided. *Please remember that you will need to pick your child up in The Attic after SNL.
MIDDLE SCHOOL ATTIC INVASION - "ENCANTO" & PIZZA
For this month's Attic Invasion we'll join Popcorn Theology in Ellis Hall to watch the smash-hit Disney film "Encanto." The Rev. Sarah Stewart will facilitate a discussion after the film and everyone is welcome! We'll eat pizza in the courtyard before heading into Ellis Hall to watch the film in our own "private viewing section." Families are especially welcome to join us on Friday night from 7:00-9:30 p.m.
WIND DOWN WEDNESDAYS
At the church on a Wednesday night? Come eat dinner with Hope and Katie in the courtyard at 5:00 p.m. before heading up to The Attic to hangout, play games, or work on homework.
