Parent Teacher Conferences Sign Up Still Open

The sign up for  parent teacher conferences is still open! Conferences are from 4:00-7:30pm on Thursday, March 15 and 8:10am-3:30pm on Friday, March 16. The master password is spring2018ptc

Before you log in, we suggest that you have the following information:
  1. A list of all the teachers you would like to see. The online conference system will not tell you the names of your children's teachers.
  2. The times you would like to have conferences. The system will tell you the available slots for all teachers. If the teachers you wish to see are not available, contact them to schedule an alternative time for a conference.
For further information, please find the attached  parent letter and  parent overviewThe website to schedule conferences is  here. Please note: the sign up window will close at 8pm on Monday, March 12 at 8:00pm.

A reminder to MIDDLE SCHOOL parents:
Spring conferences are just around the corner and teachers are excited to meet with you and your student(s). As you may have noticed during our first round of conferences, some teacher's slots fill up very quickly. If your child has an A in a class, please consider waiting to sign up so those with a higher priority have a chance to get a time slot. While we wish to discuss all students we appreciate your careful consideration.

We look forward to seeing you!
MS Coordinators Beate Simon and Missy Morrissey

Information Regarding the DSD 1 Exam

The Deustches Sprach Diplom 1 (DSD 1) is an examination given at TCGIS at the end of 8th grade. We view it as the summative performance assessment evaluating what our children can do in a second language (German) after 9 years of German Language and Culture immersion instruction. This year the 8th grade class will be taking the writing, listening and reading portions of the DSD 1 on the 13th of March. The oral assessments are the final week in March just before Spring Break.

Please click here for detailed information about this important milestone (DSD 1 Assessment) in your child's German language and culture journey

Congrats to John Tuite!

TCGIS is participating for the first time in the National Geographic Bee, and our very own 6th grader, John, became the TCGIS champion and finished in the top 100 in the Minnesota state qualifying test. He will be representing TCGIS at the Minnesota State Bee in Mankato at the Minnesota State University in early April! Congratulations to John!
