A Message from the Principal of Student Life and Mission: | |
Dear Carondelet Community,
The Carondelet ISOs developing young women of Heart, Faith, Courage, and Excellence are powerful. Every day in the classroom, on the field/court/track/pool, in club meetings, on leadership councils, and out in the community, our students develop and demonstrate these values. As a CSJ school, we offer whole school programming to further the development of our young women in these areas. For over a decade, during the months of February and March, Carondelet spends time reflecting on the concepts of Respect, Inclusion, Solidarity, and Empowerment (RISE) as part of this effort.
For most of RISE’s history, we have focused on sexual assault and dating violence prevention through student assemblies and participation in the “Break the Chain” dance. This year we are expanding our focus and delving more deeply into these concepts. Our March joint assembly with De La Salle, “Connecting the Real & Digital You” with Kim Karr from #ICanHelp, develops the notion of respect. How should we Respect each other online and encourage it in our digital communities? Sisterhood Week, the week of March 17, expresses Inclusion as we join together as sisters on campus and celebrate the many CSJ Sisters and Associates at our St. Joseph Day Liturgy. Last Friday, students from Carondelet and De La Salle joined in Solidarity walking the DLS track to raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health for the DLS annual Laps for Life event. Carondelet’s Lenten project, “She Reads, She Rises” builds on Empowerment as we collect books to send to AIC All-Girls Boarding School in Kenya, supporting girls' access to education.
Through all of these opportunities and the many other student experiences, our students are living the mission of Carondelet, and the charism of the CSJ Sisters. We are so proud of all students and are blessed to be in partnership with families.
Blessings,
Jennifer Reinwald
Principal of Student Life and Mission

She Reads, She Rises: Donate to the Lenten Project!
This year, Carondelet's Lenten Project is dedicated to supporting the AIC All-Girls Primary Boarding School – where 700 girls, including those rescued from FGM, early marriages, and abuse, find sanctuary and an education. Through our collective efforts, we will be collecting books and donating them to the school, helping to provide these young women with the resources they need to learn, dream, and build a brighter future. Learn more about the donation drive here. Join us in making a lasting impact—because every girl deserves the chance to write her own future.

We’ve shared plans with the extended Carondelet community and now look forward to strong partnership and investment in this important project. The sooner we fund this campaign, the sooner our students will be in their new space, using it to maximize their promise and potential every day. This project is five months—start to finish—so if we fundraise fast we can break ground this spring and be ready to welcome students to the Boscacci Performance Center as they start school in the Fall.
The Power of Her takes the Power of Us… please reach out to your development team to continue the conversation, share ideas, and explore giving opportunities.
Thank you for using your power to empower her!
