Recording Available Webinar: Strengthening Medical Imaging Capacity


Watch the recording of our joint webinar here. Organized by the ISR and the World Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (WFNMB) to learn why a WHA Resolution on Strengthening Medical Imaging Capacity is needed, how it will impact member states and how NGOs and international organizations will support its implementation.


The webinar brought together more than 100 attendees from over 40 countries representing a variety of health stakeholders, including member states, ministries of health, NGOs, international organizations, lead authors of the Lancet Oncology Commission on Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, the Lancet Oncology Commission on Radiotherapy and Theranostics, and the Lancet Oncology Commission on Sub-Saharan Africa.

 

We thank all speakers, including representatives from the resolution’s lead country Cameroon and co-sponsoring country Brazil, the IAEA and the WHO for their insightful presentations. Our thanks also go to all attendees for their interest and input in the lively panel discussion that concluded the webinar.

Updates from ECR 2025


Many great meetings happened during ECR 2025. The Executive Committee, International Assembly, and Quality and Safety Alliance (ISRQSA) met.


The Executive Committee announced the celebration for the Centennial Year of the ISR. A new logo was introduced.


The Executive Committee agreed to establish the International Society of Radiology Béclère-Fuchs Foundation. More information can be found here.


The International Assembly elected national delegates to the two year term for representation on the Executive Committee. Those delegates include Argentina, France, South Korea, Spain, and United Kingdom. Read More here>


The ISRQSA member campaigns presented their recent activities around the ISRQSA Call for Action and exchanged updates with their collaborating international and interprofessional organizations. Most importantly, the ISRQSA is please to welcome Korea Safe Imaging as a new member.


In addition, numerous bilateral leadership meetings took place to foster ISR's relations with international and interprofessional collaboration partners.

Fetal MRI Community (FMRC) is an initiative to collectively embark on this journey towards advanced ‘Multi-Modality Fetal Imaging’ where Ultrasound is offered as the First-Line Imaging option and Fetal MRI as a Robust ‘Problem-Solving’ Imaging Modality.
