Join us at Meet the Bulldogs Night at Winston Churchill High School on une 3rd— aan evening designed for incoming students to explore the wide world of Churchill athletics across fall, winter, and spring sports.

You’ll have the chance to meet current student-athletes, talk with coaches, learn what each team is all about, and discover where you might want to get involved. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, trying a sport for the first time, or just curious about what’s offered, this is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, make connections, and start feeling like part of the Bulldog team before the school year even begins.

Thank you, seniors, for the passion, the perseverance, and the pride you’ve brought to Churchill Softball. We can’t wait to see what you do next.

Leah Sonnabend #5: 4-year varsity player. Two year team Captain. Super utility player. Second baseman until this year where she has landed at shortstop. Has played every position over the four years to fill in where necessary. Successfully turned switch hitter, moving from a righty to a lefty bunter. Attending University of South Carolina

Jacqueline Le #1: 4-year varsity player. Captain. Lead off batter and super fast on the bases leading in steals. Heart of the outfield at centerfield. Attending North Carolina State

Christine Knowlton #18: 3-year varsity player. Captain. Rocking third base and hitting bombs at bat. Attending Tufts University

Fiona Southall #16: 1-year varsity player. Pitcher. Came to Churchill junior year and played one year of JV before joining Varsity this year. Attending Ithaca College

Alexa Harrison #13: 1-year varsity player. Right field. Came to Churchill Junior year and played one year of JV before joining Varsity this year. Attending Marist University

Abby Sarrat #24: 1-year varsity player. First base. Three year JV starter before joining Varsity this year. Attending University of Washington

This year the 2026 baseball seniors have come together and led the baseball team through some great wins and tough losses.

Zayden Schaffer, who is going to the University of Michigan in the fall, is a consummate team player.

Reid Weltman, who is also headed to Ann Arbor, has held down center field with excellent defense all season.

Captain Jacob Becker (headed to UCLA) and Ryan Attman (headed to The Ohio State University) have been key members of the pitching staff by starting, relieving and closing out many games.

Two year Captain Pace Shimoji-Fricke, headed to George Washington University, has contributed at the plate and in the field, playing outfield and catcher.

Two year Captain Jake Weiner, headed to University of Florida, has led the team in several hitting statistics while his versatility has led him to play seven different positions in the field this season.

5 - Bulldog Girls Flag Football Clinic!

Join the Winston Churchill High School Girls Flag Football Team for a fun-filled clinic designed for 4th–8th graders! This is a chance for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of flag football, build skills, boost confidence, and experience the excitement of the game—led by Churchill’s own players and coaches.

Whether you’re brand new to flag football or already love the sport you'll get to see what it’s like to be part of a growing program full of teamwork, leadership, and school spirit.

6 - The Boosters Need You!

It takes a village to support Bulldog athletics—and our Booster Club is looking for parent volunteers to step into a bigger role next school year by helping run concessions at games and events.

Working concessions is more than serving snacks. It’s where friendships are formed, laughter is shared, and parents become part of the heartbeat of the Churchill sports community. You’ll meet other families, cheer on our student-athletes together, and play a visible role in creating the game-day experience our kids remember.

No special skills required—just a willingness to pitch in, connect, and be a bigger part of the Bulldog community.
