Ontario Ultra Paddling Points Series
The "Ontario Cup" for ultra-distance paddlers is back for it's 5th year and the roster of 2019 events have been finalized. There are some changes however: The K2O crew is taking some time off, and the Big East River X and 24 Hours of River X have been retired. For 2019 the season will open with
THE OX 40km marathon followed a few weeks later by the
Kawartha Paddle Quest's 50km marathon. The ever popular
Mattawa Canoe Race's 64km marathon is back as one of the founding events of the OUPPS along with the
Muskoka River X's 58/133/233km expedition races ending the season. That's four (4) really long races, with just enough time between them to let your shoulders recover. Just another reason why Ontario is
your paddling destination.
