Bittersweet Antiques was organized in 1990 by a group of 8 area artists who wanted a location to market their work. Converted from a wood frame home, the shop now offers a setting for furniture, accessories, paintings, floral design, pottery, local author selections, handmade outdoor Adirondack furniture and much more. Each artist owns a part of the business and takes pride in the varied selection on display. Bittersweet is known for quality and interesting finds. They are open 7 days a week and are located on Rt. 29 just north of Altavista. Bittersweet is a member of the Artisans Center of Virginia and is listed on the City Streets & Country Roads Artisan Trail. Click here to learn more>
