Volunteers Needed at Sts. Simon & Jude Red Cross Shelter

Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Parish (SSJ) is in need of Red Cross trained volunteers to assist at their shelter. Sts. Simon and Jude is authorized and approved as a Red Cross Shelter for Montgomery County with special focus on The Woodlands. They are currently authorized  to serve 150 residents in overnight stays including feeding. Many volunteers are needed to help run the operation of the shelter. If your Congregation members are interested in getting involved in shelter operations please have them register as a Red Cross volunteer and let Sts. Simon and Jude know when they have completed the background check so they can add them to their team.  Please contact Jim Burkett at [email protected]  or 713-882-9230 with any questions. Thank you for helping us serve our community!

All training for the shelter will be done at Sts. Simon and Jude campus on April 7th from 10 am - Noon in room 19-20 of the Event Center. As a reminder, SSJ is partnering with Red cross therefore no one can work in the shelter without being Red Cross Certified.
