Welcome to the newest edition of the Cornerstones newsletter. The BACnet International community benefits from information and education shared through Cornerstones, the organization's monthly electronic publication. This publication is distributed to members of the BACnet International community, connecting corporate, integrator, site, student and individual users to BACnet news and updates.
Cornerstones is a unique publication because it speaks not only to the engineer and contractor communities, but also to facility professionals, building managers and owners, and other personnel.

The BACnet Guide Specification
is now available to download on TBI!
This Guide Spec is derived from the Department of Defense’s document and has been updated and optimized for BACnet projects with contribution from Grant Wichenko of Appin Associates. It covers BACnet objects and services and can be inserted into the Building Automation System Designer’s existing Division 23 or 25 specification.
It is a valuable resource for BAS Designers and Specifiers as it will save time, make it easier to develop project documents, and, ultimately, provide the author with a better finished product.
NOTE: Enter "Guide Specification" in the search bar to view all three documents.

Every month, BACnet International will highlight a resource from The BACnet Institute Resource Library!
This month’s featured resource is “BACnet Provides an Ideal Smart Building Backbone." Andy McMillan and Beatrice Witzgall discuss how instead of limited open interfaces or APIs, building owners and controls specifiers should adopt robust BACnet interfaces for lighting controls systems to enable full integration with building systems and support automation.
