Named in honor of two of our founders, this annual award offers financial support to any Delaware County high school junior or senior interested in pursuing continuing education – college/university, trade school, certificate program, or similar.

To be eligible, students watch Media Fellowship House’s video entitled, “Words of the Heart” which tells the story of Dorothy James, her great-grandfather, Thomas Garrett as well as the founding of Media Fellowship House. Once finished with the video, the students will then write a 500-1000 word essay expressing their feelings about the video and what they would do to help improve our community.

(Vigil: March 15th, 2022)

School Funding Lawsuit Advocates! We did it! All eyes are finally on public education funding in PA! We are so proud of the work you are doing to support the school funding lawsuit in your communities and in Harrisburg. As the historic PA school funding trial reaches its final weeks, parents, teachers, administrators, and education advocates like you from across the state are coming together in their communities for a momentous vigil. You are invited to join us on March 15 to tell the decision-makers in Harrisburg now is the time to reform our school funding system; our children are counting on them to get this right. Get your friends, family, and neighbors together at a location that you choose, i.e. your yard, a living room, etc. to take a moment to reflect on the past few months of the trial and the impact education funding has on Pennsylvania’s children. Small groups to large gatherings are encouraged.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Sandra Miller at sandra@educationvoterspa.org (610.248.4282) or Haley Kulp at haleyk@childrenfirstpa.org (610.350.6141)

A Path to Hope
(Community Resource Fair)

A Path to Hope is hosting a community event that will take place at Lionville Middle School in Exton, PA on Saturday March 19th from 12- 3 pm.

Annually, we host STEPS (Services-Therapy-Education-Providers-Support), a Mental Health Resource Fair that enables members of our community to meet area providers and learn about available services and resources. It is also a great way for the vendor participants to network and learn about other programs. Our last event was very well attended with 50 vendors and over 250 attendees.

This event is free to the community and is a great opportunity to take your first step on your own path to hope!
