County of San Diego Emergency Rental Assistance Program
Are you not able to pay all or part of your rent because of the pandemic? San Diego County residents can apply for the 2021 Emergency Rental Assistance Program online, which has been extended for another six months. Applications can be submitted between TODAY, March 2 and March 15.
YMCA After School Program Available at the Jacobs Center!
Did you know there’s a part-day after school program available at the Joe & VI Jacobs Center through the YMCA Enrichment Program? The program offers a daily meal, activities and academic support to help your child have a safe, active and educational afternoon after school, from Monday through Friday, 2-6 p.m. Families are encouraged to apply regardless of ability to pay, as the YMCA can help families with financial assistance and funding options.
Local Job Opportunities with AmeriCorps VISTA
Gain experience, get paid and serve your community. The City of San Diego Promise Zone and AmeriCorps VISTA are hiring for two local positions in communications and research! Interviews start in April, and the positions begin in June. In case you missed it, watch the info session we hosted on Facebook Live to address FAQs and job benefits.

Southeastern San Diego Nonprofit Network Facebook Group
We’ve started a Facebook group for Southeastern San Diego nonprofits to share nonprofit work, programs, resources, fundraisers and grant opportunities within or benefitting the community, so we can all spread the word wider! If you work at or with a nonprofit and would like to be a part of our network, please join the group.
The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation relies on the spirit of generosity of individual, corporate, foundation and government entities to bring resources like education for all ages, cultural experiences and current health updates to Southeastern San Diego. If you or your employer are interested in learning how you can give back to your community too, please contact Selina Hudgins at
