Thank you to all the attendees at our Annual Meeting Atelier and Soiree.  The event was well attended and despite the chilly evening, everyone enjoyed great food, learning and networking opportunities, and lots of fun on the sunset cruise.  Look for event photos to be posted to the IIDA Carolinas website in the next few days.

Reminder to attend the rescheduled Design Days events from February.  The first one in WNC is this afternoon.  See below and our website for more details.

Member Spotlight

Name: Susan Case

Employer: Morris-Berg Architects

Member of IIDA for: 3 years

Educational Background: Winthrop University

Defining moment in your career: Passing the NCIDQ exam to become eligible for professional membership of IIDA, and having the opportunity to design and project manage our new office when Morris-Berg moved to our new location in August 2014.

What does IIDA mean to you? IIDA means the opportunity to grow further as an interior designer by having access to educational CEUs and expand professional relationships through networking at IIDA events.

Personal/Signature style: Modern with clean lines and pops of color and pattern.

What do you do for fun? Gardening, cooking, walking outdoors, and spending time with my husband, friends, and family.

What inspires you?  Much of my inspiration comes from nature.  I grew up near Charleston, South Carolina and I find the beach very relaxing.  When designing, I tend to select color palettes that include colors reminiscent of the ocean.
