March is Brain Injury Awareness Month
This month we're proud to recognize Barb for her hard work and commitment to success. Barb sustained a brain injury at age 15 as the result of a rare illness. Now 56, Barb attends Opportunity Partners' brain injury program in Minnetonka three days per week where she gains work and coping skills in a supportive environment. Barb said, "The staff are very loving people," adding that someday she hopes to acquire her dream job as an activities assistant in a nursing home. "I'm not going to give up," she said. "I might make some mistakes, but I'll keep going." Learn more about our specialized brain injury programs.

You're invited to the 16th Annual Hopkins Noontime Lions Spaghetti Dinner, benefiting Opportunity Partners on Thursday, March 5 from 4:30-7:30 pm. Adults are $8, children under 12 are $5, and groups of five or more are $35. Tickets are sold at the door. See you there!

Tuesday, March 10 is Disability Services Day at the Capitol. More than 1,000 Direct Support Professionals, self-advocates, families and community partners will urge lawmakers to prioritize services for people with disabilities. Hosted by trade associations ARRM and MOHR and advocacy group Best Life Alliance, our action is vital so people can live their best life! Learn more about the day.
