BNCC Annual Awards Dinner
February 17th marked our Annual Awards Dinner honoring winners from 2021 and 2022. We had a great night of entertainment, community networking, and acknowledgment of the great community members that create a strong chamber.

Spread the Love
February 1st-11th, the Chamber partnered with Bardstown Main Street for a Spread the Love Campaign!

On February 1st, we sold envelopes with chances to win a basket valued at $500 and many additional prizes. We raised over $1000 that spread the love to our locally owned businesses and then spread more love to our winners of the prizes.

On February 7th, the community joined us in spreading the love with a daily challenge. They posted and shared the completed challenge on social media using #bnccspreadthelove

The Hub Workforce Updates

ServSafe Food Handler Training, Exam, and Certification Offered!

The Chamber has partnered with the Bardstown-Nelson County Tourism Hospitality Association and will be hosting a ServSafe Food Handlers Class for restaurant employees on April 25th. This training provides individuals working in restaurants and non-restaurant facilities with an overview of food safety issues, regulations, and techniques to maintain a food-safe environment. The course will consist of classroom training using the ServSafe Food Handler Book. The cost includes training, textbook, and certification test. The book is provided after registration and payment for the class. Lunch by Bardstown Bourbon Company is included and sponsored by the Bardstown- Nelson County Tourism and will be followed by a one hour review and exam. A photo ID and email address are required.

Young Leaders
Another great day with our Young Leaders! We had a packed day with a tour of ORBIS Corporation, Making Good Scentz, and WBRT. We had a great lunch and discussion about Hospitality Industry Careers at Scout & Scholar Brewing Co.. Our day ended with a discussion on entrepreneurship with Oliver's Confections, Bourbon City Taxi, Grizzly Media and Alex Letner.

Featured Distinguished Member of the Month
Lux Row Distillers

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Lux Row Distillers as the Featured Distinguished Member of the Month.

Lux Row Distillers opened in Bardstown in 2018, but traces its roots back to St. Louis in 1958. As the home of legendary brands such as Ezra Brooks, Rebel, David Nicholson, Daviess County, and Blood Oath Bourbons, Lux Row is situated on a beautiful 90-acre campus featuring a state-of-the-art distillery, ten barrel warehouses at capacity, and a 19th century Stone House. Lux Row offers a variety of tour and tasting experiences year-round and features a cocktail bar in the Visitor Center. 

Lux Row Distillers is a proud Distinguished Investor for the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce. The distillery is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar expansion project that will increase production capacity by 75%. Additionally, the Visitor Center is opening a new tasting room to accommodate more guest experiences and meeting space. Both projects will be complete by the end of 2022 cementing Lux Rowโ€™s position as a staple in the Bardstown community.
