5 LESSONS FROM FEMALE CREDIT LEADERS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Did you know March is Women's History Month? Here is an interesting fact you may not know, as well as 5 lessons learned from top female industry leaders:

True statement: credit was once a male-dominated profession. In fact, the acronym NACM once stood for the National Association of Credit Men up until 1958 when the ‘M’ was changed from representing the word men to management. 😮

Since then, women have not only joined the credit management profession—they have excelled in the industry. Here are five lessons learned from top female credit leaders:

☑️Build confidence
☑️Never stop learning
☑️Don't wait for opportunities, seek them out
☑️Motivate other credit leaders
☑️ Be the first to initiate change

CMI INDICATES A DIMINISHED LIKELIHOOD OF RECESSION
There might finally be some good news when it comes to the term "recession".

Like many other economic indicators for January, the February Credit Managers’ Index, which looks back to activity in January, is showing a bit of a rebound,” NACM Economist Amy Crews Cutts said recently.

“It’s nice to finally see a positive reading in the CMI, but I am cautious about reading too much into the headline number because several factors in the index continued to deteriorate. However, we cannot ignore that the Credit Managers’ Index is indicating that the likelihood of recession starting in the near-term has diminished greatly.”

IT'S TIME TO SPRING AHEAD!
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME COMES THIS WEEKEND
Guess what? It's time to change your clocks again (except Hawaii and Arizona). This Saturday night, move the hands forward an hour to begin the season of extra daylight. And, if you're wondering why the legislation you probably supported a few years ago hasn't gone into effect, there's a simple reason: Congress and lobbyists. Check out this story from the Washington Post.

While you are changing your clocks, put new batteries in your smoke detectors, too
