Each year the Fulton Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute the the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters! Oysterfest features oyster eating contest, carnival rides, games, food, live music, unique vendors booths, and most of all fun!!!!! Don't forget the Oysterfest Parade on Saturday.

Whooping Crane Strut
March 4, 2023
Bring your running or strutting shoes for the 34th Annual Whooping Crane Strut! the event will start at the Little Bay Pavilion inside the Rockport Beach Park. The 5k run and the 10k Run will use the Beach Park road and through the Heritage District in Downtown Rockport. You will enter the Beach and drive until you hit the end parking lot. Spring Art Fair by the Bay

The Spring Air Fair is an opportunity for the Artists to connect with patrons and art collectors. Visitors to the fair are invited to shop Artists boots in a leisurely fashion, visit the artist, and witness a number of artist demonstration to learn about technique. Taste of Rockport-Fulton

The 2023 TASTE of Rockport-Fulton presents a “Denim and Diamonds” affair. By attending this event, you are supporting the Rockport Rotary Club Scholarship Fund, a program that assists Rockport-Fulton High School students in attaining higher education. The History Center for Aransas County
Opens at the History Center "Quilting in the New Normal" The Piecemakers-by-the-Bay and the Friends of the History Center will present a show. Coffee and pastries will be served at the opening. Mimi Braniff will present a traditional Bed Turning program where Quilts will be shown with patterns and stitching described. The main galleries at the History will be filled with needlework from guild members and Fourth Graders from Sacred Heart School.

Texas Maritime Museum & Education Center
Maritime Spring Break Camp is offered the week of Aransas County ISD Spring Break, March 13-17, 2023. This camp is for one week only from 9 AM- 12 PM. Students will enjoy enrichments that are STEAM based with a maritime twist. This camp is for Pre-K (age 4) through 5th-grade children. The registration fee is $75 and covers five mornings of supervised educational crafts, activities, and snacks with engaging educational experiences. Sibling discounts are not offered.

Passport to the Past
Rockport Cultural Arts District has a new program called Passport to Aransas County's Rich and Vibrant History. Your adventure begins with 4 exciting venues to explore.
Visit The Fulton Mansion, Texas Maritime Museum, Rockport Railroad Depot, and the History Center for Aransas County. At each venue scan the QR Code and fill out your passport digitally and complete the challenge. Each of the participating venues offers a unique learning and exploring experience. After completing the challenge digitally at all 4 venue you earn a prize! It is fun and educational way to check out our community.

Aransas Pathway
March 3,10,17,24,31, 8:30am-11:00am - Aransas Pathways Birding Field Trip. Celebrate the birds of the Rockport area! Join volunteer(and retired park ranger and bird guide.) Bob Showler to look for birds at Aransas Pathways sites and other points of interest. Be prepared to drive your own car up to 20 miles round trip and bring water, sun & insect protection, and binoculars. We may walk up to 1/4 mile in certain stops. Access to most site is free, but there is a $10 fee to enter Rockport Beach park. Meet at the parking lot behind the "Rockport Beach" sign, just before entering Rockport Beach, 210 Seabreeze Dr. Rockport, Tx.

Aransas National Wildlife Refuge
Open daily from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset. The Visitor Center is open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Come hike a trail, fish off the pier or from your kayak, or drive the 16-mile auto tour. Goose Island State Park
All programs are free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or with a Texas State Park Annual Pass. Events are posted to the park website: and to our Facebook page.

Memorial Park
Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park. Consisting of more than 100 acres, the Park includes 1.65 miles of Hike and Bike trails and a 3/4-mile nature trail with interpretive signs, and rest benches. Soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, off-leash dog parks, playscapes and fitness stations, birding sites, and picnic facilities serve a wide variety of interests throughout the year.
