The Kids' Batizado (on May 19th) and theatre performance is approaching fast. We are putting on a production and could really use your support. If you don't act that is fine but we can find a place for your assistance. You can help the children rehearse their lines or their movements for capoeira, maculele, puxada de rede, and samba.
Contact us to give your monetary, time or physical donations! Axe! We are definately missing you all on our injured lists. We didn't forget you. You can also take advantage of learning things about capoeira, samba, puxada de rede, maculele and more by assisting in the show with the children!You are welcome in the bateria always in your journey to health. You can also help out with some of the odd jobs we are doing now... making maculele sticks, organizing berimbau marriages, creating song books, making costume jewelry etc. |

Those who missed this event missed a good one. Monitora Amazonas went early in the day and Professor Macaco went towards the evening and the axe was ever present. Events like this aren't happening too often and we need to seize the moment and support each other.

| Mestre Joao Grande and Mestre Joao Pequeno Angola Festival | | |

In lieu of the passing of Mestre Joao Pequeno, Mestre Joao Grande and students organized an Angola Festival.
Thank you Professor Macaco for supporting the great masters of Angola by taking workshops and introducing our group to a great pillar in capoeira Mestre Joao Grande.
Shout outs to Sabado, Monique and Joao Z for attending the weekend as well!
