Patrick's Day Turn the Bayou Country Green - The members of Fir Mairseail Nua Iberia, local dignitaries, representatives and more will join Mayor Freddie DeCourt as he opens the valve to turn the plaza fountain water Irish Green. The minstrel group Whiskey Bay Rovers will entertain the crowd with Irish and traditional music and dance. Bus for the annual pub crawl leaves from the fountain directly after the celebration. March 15 - St. Patrick's Day March - The members of Fir Mairseail Nua Iberia, members of the New Iberia City Police and Fire Departments personell, Special Olympians, veterans and more will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with an annual march down Main Street from the Civic Center (457 E. Main St.) to Bouligny Plaza (102 W. Main St.), handing out green candies and tokens.
