F ollowing the Governor's order, the office closed last Monday. We are working from home to continue to serve you and keeping connected through ZOOM meetings and email. If you need assistance, the best way to reach us is by email.

This could be the perfect time to earn CLE credits. For the time being, CLE classes will be held via webinar. Remember that you can also take advantage of online CLE.

As much as we look forward to Law Week, all activities, except the WAKR radio show, have been cancelled. This now includes the Law Day Luncheon and The Red Mass. Plans are underway to recognize award winners through other venues and will be announced at a later date.

Receives Supreme Court Certification

Summit County Common Pleas Judge Mary Margaret Rowlands'’ Reentry Court has earned recertification from the Ohio Supreme Court’s Commission on Specialized Dockets.

Reentry court is designed to help citizens successfully reenter society following incarceration, thereby reducing recidivism, improving public safety, and saving money.

“My specialized docket is designed to combine close supervision with services to help ex-offenders become law-abiding citizens, gain long-term employment, and maintain stable residence,” stated Judge Rowlands.

Volunteer Your Leadership

T he Akron Bar Foundation is asking for nominations to join the Akron Bar Foundation Board of Governors. Selected members will begin a three-year term on Wednesday, July. Self-nominations are welcome, and interested members should contact  C. Allen Nichols , Executive Director at callen@akronbar.org .
