CEO Corner - March 2025

As we step into March, we reflect on an incredible Mardi Gras season filled with celebration, tradition, and community spirit across Louisiana! From parades and balls to local celebrations, our Gulf Coast Social Services team, families, and community partners came together to celebrate the enjoyment of Carnival while continuing our mission of care and support. Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our events throughout the state—your dedication truly makes a difference.

March is also Women’s History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of women, both past and present. In our own organization, we are honored to work alongside so many remarkable women who make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve. Your compassion, leadership, and commitment inspire us all.

As always, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our staff, foster parents, caregivers, and community partners for your unwavering support and dedication. Whether through direct care, advocacy, or collaboration, each of you plays a vital role in strengthening the communities we serve. Thank you for all that you do!

Wishing you a March filled with continued success and appreciation.

Regards,

Willie Green, President/CEO

March is Women's History Month

A time to honor the achievements and strength of women everywhere. At Gulf Coast Social Services, we proudly celebrate our hardworking women clients who inspire us daily with their resilience and determination.

Our Lafayette SIL clients are a shining example of this strength. Two incredible women took a moment from their busy schedules to share their stories with us, highlighting the power of independence and self-reliance.

Another client, Keeley Grant, was especially excited to be interviewed. She shared her experience with both her family and the Genesis program she attends weekly, showing how proud she is of her journey.

These women along with many other women in our programs, continues to strive for independence and self-sufficiency, making them true testaments to the spirit of Women's History Month.
