Get Your 2Q Hiring Plans Together for the

“Work for a Nonprofit” Campaign

As you may have seen, the Not-for-profit News and Job board is preparing an online campaign to begin in April that will draw additional attention to the nonprofit sector as a great place to work. The “Work for a Nonprofit. Make a Difference” campaign is aimed at attracting new job seekers, looping past nonprofit staff back into the sector, and encouraging job seekers with applicable experience in other sectors to explore nonprofits as a career.

Your Opportunity to Connect with more job seekers – While we are hoping our marketing efforts will encourage job seekers to explore nonprofit jobs, in general, and “lift all boats,” the promotional efforts will specifically steer job seekers toward the Central Indiana Nonprofit Job Board where they will find more nonprofit job opportunities than anywhere else.

Hundreds of nonprofits post their leadership, administrative, development, and professional openings on the Nonprofit Job Board every year. We hope you will plan to post several as part of our upcoming campaign.

New Board members? The Welcome to the Board booklet is a quick primer on “how boards and not-for-profits work.” It should complement your organization’s efforts to explain how and why they do things, and give you an understanding of the challenges and opportunities you may encounter as a board member.

We want to recognize board leaders

For most board members, board leadership roles come with a commitment and investment of time and resources to support a cause they care about. However, for the individual who steps up to serve as board president or chair, the role comes with the assumption of overall responsibility for the nonprofit and guiding the organization’s path forward.

As we continue to share news of board leaders who have taken the helm, we encourage you to recognize and thank these individuals for tackling the role, because as a community member, you recognize the value of his or her investment to help keep the sector strong.

If you want to announce your organization’s new board leader, please send name, position, and a headshot HERE.

We are open to other ways we can support and recognize board leaders. Send us your thoughts or tell us a story about a board leader who has made a difference in your organization. Share your ideas with Bryan Orander, president.
