Build Day with Granite Construction

Friday March 8th 2024, International Women's Day, which coincided with Women in Construction Week, Nevada County Habitat partnered with Granite Construction to empower through building.


The 2024 Granite Construction build sponsorship supports building more Habitat homes in Nevada County! Say Hello to Our New Board Vice President, Dina Rubino

Dina has been supporting Habitat and active on our Board for years. We are thrilled to welcome her now as the new Board Vice President.


Dina Rubino was born and raised in Southern California. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in

Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Language Arts, from Cal State San Bernardino. She has

worked as a resource teacher, an elementary school teacher, and a substitute teacher, for her

entire career. Dina, and her husband Tom, have lived in Nevada County for over 26 years. Together they raised three children, and two nephews here. Dina and Tom enjoy spending time with family, visiting their (now adult) children, and hosting large family gatherings during the summer.

We are seeking lunch providers for our build site construction crew!

WHAT IS NEEDED:


Make lunch for 10-12 people on average. You or your group would purchase and prepare at home or buy something pre-made. Deliver to the construction site around 11:30-11:45am on your scheduled lunch day. Our team works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.


Commitment can be weekly, every other week, monthly, or a few times a year, or you can be a substitute.
