The New York Upstate/Canada East Chapter of ASID is hosting our Annual Chapter Weekend this year in gorgeous Ithaca, NY from September 22nd to the 23rd. The Chapter Weekend is one of our largest events every year and has a strong turnout of local professionals, industry partners, students and educators. The weekend will include networking mixers, CEU presentations, the Annual Awards Dinner and tours of local attractions.

Niagara Falls’ Light Show Gets a High-Tech Makeover
AZURE
A monumental, modern illumination project at Niagara Falls respects the natural beauty of the landmark while maximizing technological opportunities.
It’s a project that’s been two years and four million dollars in the making. Launched on December 1, the historic lighting revitalization of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Bridal Veil Falls channels the raw energy of the natural wonders with a high-tech design concept.
NYCxDesign
Hosted in New York City, NYCxDESIGN brings together all the disciplines of design, commerce, culture, education and
entertainment with a full, varied program, including exhibitions, installations, trade shows, talks,
launches
and open studios. 2016, the fourth year of the celebration, featured over 500 events across the 5 Boroughs of New York City and included topics from graphic design to architecture, technology and urban design to fashion and product design, interiors to landscape, furniture to design thinking, and more.
