Spring is in the air at Mobile Bay Dance Academy,
& recital season is officially underway!
I know many of you are new to our dance family and may have questions, so this email includes important information about ticket sales, picture days, recital program books, rehearsal schedules, recital day, and more.
We work very hard to keep the recital process organized, safe, and fun for everyone.
A detailed recital bulletin with additional information will be emailed to all families in April.

Individual and Class Pictures Begin March 9th 📸
Costumes will begin going home this week! We are still waiting on a few costumes to arrive and will send those home as soon as they come in.
Dance Shoes Check 🩰
Please take a moment to check your dancer’s shoes.
Many dancers are in the middle of growth spurts, and shoes may be feeling snug. Properly fitting shoes are very important for comfort and safety.
Recital Tickets Go On Sale March 7th at 10:00 A.M. 🎟️

Recital tickets
Recital tickets will go on sale Friday, March 6th at 10:00 A.M.
The ticket links on the recital ticket page will not work until March 6th at 10:00 A.M.
Tickets will be sold online again this year.
Ticket Pricing & Sales Dates
• Pre-Sale Online Ticket Price: $15.00 per ticket
• Online Ticket Sales Begin: Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
• Online Ticket Sales End: Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 6:00 P.M.
• Tickets purchased at Rehearsal or Recital: $20.00 per ticket
Important Information
• Tickets are LIMITED, so please purchase early
• There are 3 different recitals, please be sure to purchase tickets for the correct recital
• Dancers do NOT need a ticket
• Everyone attending must purchase a ticket
• Children under age 2 do not need a ticket if they will sit on a parent’s lap
• Dance recital programs will be available for optional purchase
Other recital expenses may include costumes, recital tickets, tights, and shoes.

RECITAL PROGRAM BOOK INFORMATION
Every year, one of the highlights of our recital is the beautiful keepsake Program Book that showcases our studio and celebrates our dancers. Each family is encouraged to support their dancer by purchasing or selling an ad that may include a photo, words of wisdom, best wishes, or a special congratulations message.
We invite you to ask family, friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even local businesses to sponsor a picture page for your dancer. Students may also be pictured with a fellow dancer, and families are welcome to share the cost of an ad. Dancers may purchase more than one advertisement.
✨NEW THIS YEAR - COLOR AD OPTIONS!
Due to popular request, we are excited to now offer full-color ad options in addition to our traditional ads. This is a fun and eye-catching way to make your dancer’s page truly stand out!
Make your child’s recital experience complete by purchasing an ad in our annual Program Book. It’s a meaningful way to recognize the dancer in your life for their hard work and dedication. Ads are also a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to advertise and reach a targeted audience. We offer a variety of sizes, with ads starting at just $25.
You will be able to choose the portrait used in your advertisement once picture proofs are ready. After receiving your proofs, you will submit the selected portrait number through the Google Form. Our team will design the ad for you, making the process easy and stress-free.

The dancer who sells the most ads will be featured as our 2026 Cover Girl!
Cover Girl ad sales end April 16, 2026.
All Program Book ads are due by May 1, 2026.

Individual and group portraits will be taken during your dancer’s regularly scheduled class time beginning March 9, 2026.
There is no sitting fee.
Colonial Photography will photograph each dancer individually and with their class.
*Sibling portraits will also be taken, if
applicable.
Once portraits have been edited, you will receive an email directly from Colonial Photography with a link to view and order your dancer’s pictures.

Please note: The only makeup portrait option will be during designated portrait times at the dance studio. We are unable to return to schools for makeup portraits.

Tuition
If you paid for fall semester, spring semester tuition was due by Jan 1.
Class fees are invoiced by the term. The full term invoice must be paid, regardless of the number of classes the student wishes to attend (or actually attends). There will be no refunds, credits, or transfers if the full term isn't completed. For your convenience, the term can be broken down into 9 monthly payments. When enrolling in our classes, you are committing to a service contract for a complete term.
Mobile Bay Dance Academy does not offer refunds for cancellations.
Dance Tuition is always due before the 1st dance class.
For your convenience, we have a Monthly Payment Option, Semester Payment Option as well as a Yearly Payment Option.
You will not receive a monthly invoice.
Please make sure you pay on time to avoid late fees. Tuition is based on a yearly rate, from September through May/June, paid in nine payments. Some months have three classes while other months have five classes. Monthly payment installments remain the same throughout the year. We do not prorate tuition for any reason.

Class Attendance
Students must attend classes regularly for their own benefit as well as the growth and development of the class as a whole. Our dance classes are based on individual commitment; however, they are fueled by the entire class.
By coming to class we assume that all students are healthy and able to dance. If your child has a sprained ankle, cast, etc.. PARENTS should let us know about the situation in advance and we will let your child observe the class.
No Parents or Visitors in Dance Class
No Parents or visitors are allowed in the dance classroom. Dancers are more focused and perform better with fewer people in the room. Dance is also about learning independence. You will see your dancer grow so much in confidence from their dance classes. If your child is feeling anxious about being in class without you, you can help by explaining to your child that they can show you what they learned after class.
Communication
We work hard to make the dance experience organized and fun. Keeping you informed is one of our primary goals. Please read all newsletters and other dance class information. The studio's primary method of communication with parents is via e-mail. If you are not receiving e-mails from us, please contact us to ensure your current e-mail address is on file.

Shop Our Dancewear Store!
All dancewear orders are shipped directly to your home. While it is possible to purchase similar products from other sources, buying from our studio’s store ensures that all dancewear is consistent. We have leotards, tights, dance shoes and so much more! Please make sure you check the sizing when ordering shoes! We have partnered with Nimbly® to provide our dancers with the best quality and value.
