The Beautification Unit extends a heartfelt thank you to Commissioners LaDena Bolton and Ted Terry, along with the entire Board of Commissioners, for sponsoring the proclamation and honoring our team with a pinning ceremony on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. This thoughtful recognition celebrates the team's dedication and hard work in making DeKalb a cleaner, greener place to live. Your continued leadership fuels our commitment to preserving and enhancing our communities.
The March into a Cleaner Tomorrow campaign highlights two impactful initiatives designed to inspire community action:

Great American Cleanup — Thursday, March 20 – Saturday, June 21
We extend our deepest gratitude to Madam CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson, Commissioners Bolton and Terry, and all DeKalb Board of Commissioners and elected officials for their unwavering support and leadership.
We invite all residents, organizations, and community groups to join the challenge! Let’s see which district can collect the most litter. We’ll track the results by converting collected bags into pounds and ultimately tons of waste removed.
Together, we can create lasting change one bag at a time!
