Fit To Recover would like to thank Dan Parrish and ACQUA

for their dedication and commitment to the Utah recovery community over the years. Dan has been a proud supporter of FTR, and we would like to thank him for his service. ACQUA has continually showed up and supported all of TeamFTR and those struggling with substance use disorders in Utah. Thank you, Dan, for all that you do!

Magdalen Rivas, SLC

FTR has helped me grow in so many ways. It helps me to not be afraid to try new things & meet new people. It provides me with a strong sense of community, inside & outside of the gym, so I never have to feel alone. All the classes offered at FTR have a special way of getting you out of your head and into your body which is so important to me in maintaining my recovery. I’m a chronic over-thinker but whenever I’m at FTR I feel clear-headed, free to be myself and open to new experiences & connections.

Lyle Kuperschmid, SLC

As a trans man, it is not often that I readily feel so comfortable in certain communities. At FTR I have only ever been met with genuine love and kindness for who I am. Having bottom surgery has been a long and complicated process and I worried that not being able to work out i would lose my FTR community during such vulnerable times. But the opposite was true. I showed up to classes despite not being able to work out and got everything out of it and more than I would have hoped for. I am so blessed to have this community and hope that I can hold space for new members of all backgrounds in the same way that space was held for me

Ramsey DeGeare, Orem

My higher power led me to FTR. I saw the Orem class flyer on the wall at a 12-step meeting place. Thank you to whoever put that flyer up. Up until then, I had three months of the darkest tunnel in my recovery in over 19 years. From my very first bootcamp, FTR has become the light at the end of that tunnel. The love, friendships and unity of it has returned the simple joy to my life. I felt totally helpless and alone in this trial I had been facing, and now, I do not. What else can I say but thank you Fit to Recover!!
