Background: The Interstate 5 provides a critical connection between Oregon and Washington that supports local jobs and families, and is a vital trade route for regional, national and international economies. The bridge plays a vital role in connecting the region, plays a vital role in the natural environment and health of our community. The program team is committed to finding a solution that will improve our transportation system now, and for the future.
Purpose: The Interstate Bridge Replacement program is facilitating a process for replacing the aging bridge across the Columbia River with a modern, seismically resilient, multimodal structure is a priority for both Oregon and Washington. Two timely opportunities to share feedback on the project occurred in early March. There will be more opportunities to engage throughout the entire process.
This is an opportunity to learn about this complex project, and take the opportunity to ask questions to project staff.
