Dear Alumni and Friends,

2021 continues to be a unique year full of challenges and obstacles. Nonetheless, our program and cohort have adapted, changed priorities, and found new ways of learning about the community and about themselves.

We are pleased to say that our progress in continuing our important mission to connect people and prepare them as leaders to shape the future of Santa Fe has continued with the support and passion of our board of directors, advisory board, and community members like you.

Sending you all wishes of a rewarding and healthy year, and looking forward to visiting in person when the time is right to gather. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

My very best,

Valerie Alarid

Testimonials
"I've always had a particular interest in helping out the youth in Santa Fe as I know it can be quite a difficult place to grow up. This session was both inspirational and informative. I feel as though I left the session with the tools and connections to become more involved with supporting our Santa Fe youth."
Natalie T., Class of 2021

"What I learned from Leadership Santa Fe is that people have remarkable gifts to share, and sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes the source of those gifts is the very same source of the things that irritate us, the aspects we don’t like about each other.  Leadership Santa Fe has been a time of transformation for me, and I’ve come to believe that transforming is so much about acceptance.  Not about fixing ourselves and others – but about honoring ourselves and others as a source of wisdom and compassion."
-Perli Cunanan, Class of 2010

"Leadership Santa Fe has given me tools and resources that will continue to benefit me in both my professional and personal journey.  Civic awareness sheds light on the issues our community faces; encouraging us to get involved and make a difference in Santa Fe. Leadership skills development helped me to tap into my potential and step outside of my comfort zone by working together and asking powerful questions. This class was one of the most motivating and inspirational 8 months."
-Andrea, Class of 2018
