Uniting Local Minority Chambers Across The State To Help Drive Louisiana's Economy Forward
|
|
Greetings!
This month marks the end of the first quarter, but the beginning to a season of abundance-spring!
Throughout the month of March, the SBA announced a series of grant programs available to veterans, venues and deferment for disaster loans as a part of the American Rescue Plan. The advancements in the application process highlight the strides the White House is taking to ensure small businesses have access to funds to sustain. It is imperative that we do our part individually, by spending our dollars with small businesses.
Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation is continuing the mission to unite local minority chambers across the state, through providing technical and financial assistance. We are currently seeking board members for the Alexandria Regional Black Chamber of Commerce. If you are interested in becoming a board member, please email us at i nfo@lachamberfoundation.org

From Our Partners at JEDCO
|
March is Women’s History Month. What better way to celebrate the many contributions that women make to the economy and the community than to host a panel of female industry leaders to share their stories, perspectives and advice?
JEDCO and the Jefferson Chamber have teamed up to bring you this the Prosper Jefferson Women in Leadership Panel. Join us Wednesday, March 31st, at 10:00 am to hear from three female leaders across a diverse range of industries and backgrounds to share their personal experiences in leadership roles, how they got there, and how they continue to grow their businesses and organizations.
Moderated by Gambel Communications CEO Amy Boyle Collins, this panel will offer frank discussions on work/life balance, the challenges women have faced in the workforce due to the COVID-19 pandemic, being a female leader in male-dominated industries, and so much more.
