Areyvut
Inspire Jewish youth to give of themselves...
March 2014
Dear Friends,

I hope that it has been a joyous month for you and yours. Here at Areyvut we have had big things a-brewin' (despite the constant snow, ice, hail, states of emergency, you know the whole shebang) and have had the opportunity to work with some amazing groups (Check out this video from a recent Mitzvah Clown training at Bnos Malka!). From Chesed Fairs to Nationals Mitzvah Day, Areyvut programming has been all over with more big events scheduled for the coming month. Keep on reading to learn more...
National Mitzvah Day
Areyvut's National Mitzvah Day, is an opportunity to get children, teenagers, and adults involved in chesed (kindness) and community service activities. Now in its tenth year, Areyvut's National Mitzvah Day is pleased to be partnering with Good Deeds Day!

With projects and initiatives happening from coast to coast, there are ways for everyone to get involved. And, if you want to get involved with community service but can't think of a way to do it, check out Areyvut's National Mitzvah Day Educational Resources to find some great material.

National Mitzvah Day actively engages, from teens to adults, in giving back to the community through social action programs. This, we believe, is a first step toward greater commitment to making a difference. Be sure to register your project today!

If you would like to bring National Mitzvah Day to your community, please email daniel@areyvut.org or give us a call- (201)-244-6702.

Chesed Fairs Galore!
Areyvut will be taking part in three Mitzvah Fairs this month alone! The first, at SAR Academy in Riverdale, is being organized and facilitated by Areyvut. Bnai Mitzvah students and their families will come and learn how to enhance their celebration by becoming involved in various chesed projects and community service opportunities.

The second Mitzvah Fair, happening on March 25th at Yeshivat Noam in Paramus, will also be organized and facilitated by Areyvut. Approximately 100 families will be attending the event and learning about volunteer options for their teens. And finally, on March 31st, Areyvut will be participating in Bnai Jeshurun's Mitzvah Fair in New York City. There Jewish teens can come to learn about the different chances they have to become involved in their community.

If you are interested in bringing an Areyvut Chesed Fair to your community, please email daniel@areyvut.org.

About Areyvut
Areyvut's mission is to infuse the lives of Jewish youth and teens with the core Jewish values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (charity), and tikkun olam (social action), so that they become thoughtful, giving members of the Jewish community of tomorrow.

We offer day schools, congregational schools, synagogues, community centers, and individual families with a variety of opportunities to help them make these core values real and meaningful to their children.
