At The Elijah House, local non-profit Back 2 Work program, they are a 6-month transitional work program, where they are passionate about helping general job seekers or people with no work experience, recovered addicts, felons, probationary, homeless and many other walks of life gain employment. Contracted with Butte County and Caltrans for the “Clean California program” which affords them the opportunity to provide part time employment to those looking for work.

The El Dorado Roses are looking for candidates to run for their 2023 El Dorado Rose.


Canidates must be at least 60 years old, have lived in the county for 10 years and an impressive amount of volunteer hours.


The Non-Profit Organization El Dorado Roses are chosen at the County Fair as mature ladies who have given to community service as volunteers. In Victorian dress, we represent our county's history at many events.
