Mission

To increase the knowledge and development of students and minorities involved in athletics. The MCAofGA is dedicated to providing a positive atmosphere where issues can be debated and resolved in a timely and respectful manner.

Vision

To develop student-athletes and minority coaches by building character, leadership qualities, time management skills, and professionalism through athletics.

Kevin Grooms, CMAA

Athletic Director

Bibb County School District

Mr. Grooms is a highly successful basketball coach who transitioned into full-time athletic administration in 2021. He has provided tremendous leadership by creating several professional learning cohorts for coaches and administrators in his district and working with other districts to tackle athletics issues across Georgia.

Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Clark Atlanta University

MCAofGA will host the Champions Elite camp with Coach Teddy Keaton at Clark Atlanta University. College Coaches from FBS, FCS, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO, and Prep Schools will attend as guest coaches.

HBCA Mega Camp

Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Clark Atlanta University

MCAofGA will host the HBCU Mega Camp with Coach Teddy Keaton at Clark Atlanta University. College Coaches from most HBCUs and other FCS, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO, and Prep Schools will attend as guest coaches.
