Greetings Fellow T&C Families & Friends,

Our spring sports season is well underway, and it is great to have all the kids and families back out on campus.

We are all excited about this year being the 50^th anniversary of T&C providing activities for the youth of North Austin. It is always so amazing to me running into people attending their children’s event that played here at T&C when they were children.

I want to thank all of you volunteers, because none of this would be possible without the hundreds of you that give up your time and energy to give the thousands of children the opportunity to play, learn, and grow.

It was great to see so many of you out enjoying our official spring opening day. It was a perfect day to kick off the spring season. Thank you to the Round Rock Express for bringing Spike out to help us celebrate the opening of this spring season.

We are excited about our 50^th year and planning several other special events like our annual “Help Every Kid Play” Golf Tournament (May 6^th) and Dell Diamond night (May 18^th), so I encourage you to follow us on social media, read your newsletters and check the website events page throughout the season to stay informed of other things going on throughout the season.

I hope you all have a great spring season and I will look forward to seeing you out on campus!

Spring Opening Day

March 2

Saturday, March 2nd marked our Official Opening Day at T&C. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the beginning of our Spring 2024 Sports season.

Spike from Round Rock Express was a huge hit with our community and loved that he made the day extra special.

Don't forget to come see Spike at the Dell Diamond for T&C Sports Night on May 18th. More details can be found below.

T&C Sports 50th Anniversary

2024 marks a major milestone in the history of T&C as it is our 50th year of providing sports and programs to the youth of North Austin.

If you are interested in becoming involved and joining us in our mission, please contact the office at office@tandcsports.org or call us at 512-331-0438 to learn about becoming a Town and Country Optimist Club Member.

Saturday, March 23rd is Spring Picture Day

Photographers will be at T&C Sports taking player photos at the Soccer pavilion from 8 am - 5 pm.

Your coaches will be scheduling your picture time slot. If for some reason, you cannot make the scheduled time slot, please show up when you can and the photographers will work to fit you in.

Saturday, April 20th is Coach Appreciation Day

Our volunteer coaches are the life blood of our organization and we cannot thank them enough. Please join us in celebrating them on Saturday, April 20th for Coach Appreciation Day.

Charity Golf Tournament

May 6th, Star Ranch for T&C's 50th Anniversary Golf Celebration

2024 is the Town & Country Optimist Club's 50th Anniversary providing youth sports for thousands of kids each year. One of our celebrations will be our 8th 'Help Every Kid Play' Golf Tournament. The proceeds support our scholarship budget to help any family needing financial support to get their kids on the field.

Details:

Help Every Kid Play Golf Tournament: Join us Monday May 6th at The Golf Club at Star Ranch for our annual charity golf tournament to raise money for player financial assistance.

Format is a 4-person scramble with prizes for longest drive, closest the pin and team awards. Individual players are welcome and will be assigned to a team.

Dell Diamond T&C Night

Saturday, May 18th 2024

Take me out to the ball game! Calling all baseball and T&C Sports fans: Come join us at the Dell Diamond for the Round Rock Express game on Saturday, May 18th. Gates open at 6PM and the Pregame Parade will begin at 6:15PM.

Please wear your T&C Spirit wear if you have it. Players must be in uniform to join the pre-game parade and on-field activities. Players will meet under the Main Score Board (located center field) for the parade so please plan to arrive early.

CAMPUS REMINDER

T&C ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

Please remember that T&C is not a public park. Please make sure that your out of town guests are aware of this policy! At the T&C Optimist Complex, visitors are expected to observe the Zero Tolerance Policy, which prohibits: Violence-Physical or Verbal, Alcohol, Weapons, Noise Makers, Tobacco Products (ALL Types including E-Cigarettes/Vaping), Littering, Pets (Leashed and Unleashed), Tailgating, Onsite cooking, this includes all T&C parking lots (T&C’s permit does not allow public cooking or preparation of foods outside of our concessions). No oversized vehicles including campers.

This Zero Tolerance Policy applies to all visitors for every event attended at the complex. Any patron violating these policies will result in a warning to correct and/or asked to leave the T&C property.

NO PETS POLICY

We love pets, however they are not allowed on our campus. People should not bring their pets to T&C Sports when coming to our facility for sports play. The City of Austin has a right of way for the hike and bike trail that runs through T&C Sports which allows for walking pets only along this cement trail. There are no pets allowed anywhere outside this cement trail.
