News and Noteworthy Events
February was buzzing with activities at the library. We had excellent turnouts for all of our programs including a record turnout for the
Loomis Basin Historical Society presentation honoring long-time community members Lila Sasaki & Fusaye Miyamoto, who shared their personal narratives as Japanese internment survivors. Their stories and the commitment of the Historical Society to keep our cultural heritage alive helps us grow as individuals and as a community.
We have partnered with other community leaders for even more fun in March. Please check out our events calendar below for more highlights.
The
"I love my library because..."
Valentine's messages were much appreciated by everyone. Thank you to those who took the time to let us know what we are getting right. Books, books, and more books, was the most popular sentiment followed by appreciation for our friendly staff. People also listed the many varied activities for children and adults. We just couldn't do it without your support.
Our growing membership is an indication that we are making strides to better serve the entire community. We still have a long way to go and we're asking you to help us spread the word; please talk with your friends and neighbors and post on social media everything that you feel makes our library special. Word-of-mouth advertising from friends to friends is still the best way to spread the word about the library. Thanks in advance for your help!
