March has arrived in Horseshoe Bay, and with it comes a full calendar and renewed momentum in our community. We are pleased to remind all members that our Annual Meeting of Members will be held on Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 AM. Every HSB POA member is invited and encouraged to attend as we reflect on the past year and look ahead to what is next for our Association.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Bryan Roach, Belinda Roberts, and Rick Overholt for their dedicated service on the Board. Each of them has invested significant time, thought, and care into the work of the POA, and our community is stronger because of their efforts. We wish them the very best as they transition from their board roles. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Michael Appleby, Darlene Bowles, and David Wright as our newest Board Directors; find out more about them below. It is always refreshing to see members step forward to serve, and we are grateful for their willingness to contribute their time and leadership to Horseshoe Bay.
Transparency and stewardship remain central to the Board’s responsibilities. Our annual financial audit has been completed, and the results are available for review on the POA website. We encourage members to take a look and stay informed about our organization's financial health and accountability.
We would also like to recognize the outstanding work Rick Overholt has led in expanding and improving our trail system. The continued development of new trails has added meaningful recreational opportunities for residents, and this progress would not be possible without the many volunteers who have given their time and energy. To everyone who has cleared brush, marked paths, and supported these efforts, thank you. Your work quite literally helps shape the landscape of our community.
February also marked the opening of the new HSB City Center, an exciting addition that enhances the services and amenities available to residents. It is encouraging to see continued investment in infrastructure and gathering spaces that support a thriving community.
March is also a strong month for learning. We have three Community Education events scheduled, each offering practical insight and valuable information. These programs continue to draw engaged audiences and provide meaningful opportunities to stay informed and connected. We encourage everyone to attend and take advantage of these thoughtful presentations.
Finally, we look forward to one of our favorite seasonal traditions. The Spring Fling Art Festival will take place on Thursday, March 26, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This change-of-season celebration brings artists, neighbors, and friends together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The entire community is invited to attend and enjoy an afternoon that showcases creativity and connection.
Thank you for your continued involvement and commitment to Horseshoe Bay.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the Annual Meeting and throughout the many events this month.
