“True meditation has no direction or goal. It is pure wordless surrender, pure silent prayer.” ~ Adyashanti, True Meditation

The Practice of Meditation
Meditation is considered a cornerstone of most spiritual traditions. It offers a means by which to quiet the mind and rest in silent awareness. Open Gate Sangha invites you to make your meditation practice an important priority during this time of change and unrest.
To support you in deepening your focus on meditation this month, we invite you to watch The Paradox of Meditation and read Adya’s True Meditation Flyer (aconcise and essential written instruction for meditation.)
You are also encouraged to download and enjoy the two complimentary guided meditations offered below, and take advantage of the resources we offer in support of an at-home meditation retreat.
“So often when we learn how to meditate, we think we’re supposed to be exercising a technique that brings us to a quietness.”
While Adyashanti is taking time off for a personal retreat, many of us in the sangha are also taking the opportunity to retreat at home by using the discounted resources here. As part of this collection, we provide a guide and structure for your personal retreat experience.
We invite you to spend an extended period of time in silence and reflect on the dharma talks offered by Adya and Mukti.
Visit Adyashanti’s and Mukti’s Teachings pages to access their complimentary introductory teachings, videos, audio recordings, articles and writings, and New & Selected Teachings.
What would happen if you were to allow everything to be exactly as it is? What if you gave up the need for control, and instead embraced the whole of your experience in each moment that arose?
This engaging and elegant hardcover book invites you to explore these life-changing questions as Adyashanti offers his unique and powerful perspective on the art of meditation.
Check out the Community News pages including our Press Page, to discover projects that Adya and Mukti are doing or have participated in outside of Open Gate Sangha, such as interviews, talks, programs, podcasts, and articles.

Adyashanti, author of Sacred Inquiry, The Most Important Thing, and The Way of Liberation is an American-born spiritual teacher devoted to serving the awakening of all beings. His teachings are an open invitation to stop, inquire, and recognize what is true and liberating at the core of all existence.
Mukti, whose name is translated as “liberation,” is the Associate Teacher of Open Gate Sangha. Her talks point audiences back to their natural state of wholeness or undivided consciousness. For teaching excerpts, audio downloads and CDs, qi gong videos, and a calendar of Mukti’s programs, visit muktisource.org.
