Taking Homeless Advocacy National

In case you missed it, Catholic Charities East Bay recently hosted an Advocacy Forum: A Convening on Practical Solutions to Addressing Homelessness. We are the host of this forum series that will take place at eight other locations across the nation in partnership with Catholic Charities USA. Representatives from federal agencies and the Governor's office as well as service providers to the unhoused gathered to discuss the state of local homelessness, including challenges, ideas, and practices to elevate the effectiveness of federal advocacy.

Reflecting on Our Lenten Journey

As we journey through Lent, we reflect on the sacrifices we make and the ways we can deepen our connection to our faith and the East Bay community. A special thank you to the DePorres Group and an anonymous donor, who together donated nearly 30 Easter Baskets for families with gift cards and goodies. Happy Easter!

Immigration Forums for Free Legal Services

In February and March, the Catholic Charities immigration legal services team held three Immigration Forums. On the first day alone, more than 350 people attended, and members of our team provided a total of 180 consultations on legal matters ranging from visas, to residency, to citizenship. Thank you to our immigration legal services team for going above and beyond!
