FINALE ROUTINE 2023
What is Finale?
Finale is the last dance routine of the recital that closes out the show.
This is an opportunity for all dancers participating in recital in pre-dance and higher to
have an additional dance in the recital without having to do an extra class. This is optional but a lot of fun and the only way to get a commemorative MKDS recital tshirt.
Registration is now open to sign up and will close on Saturday 4/1.

We are so excited to be offering finale similar to the past 2 years!
Open to all dancers enrolled in Pre-Dance classes and higher.
We will post choreography break down videos in the parent portal by Saturday 4/15.
Dancers should start learning and practicing the dance right away.
We will hold 1 in studio rehearsal prior to filming. IMPORTANT: At the rehearsal, we will be going over what they have already learned from the videos. So it is important that they come prepared to the rehearsal, as we will NOT be teaching choreography.
On Saturday 5/20 we will hold the in studio rehearsal. It will be after 2:30pm. Exact time will be determined when we know how many dancers and age group break downs.
On Sunday 5/21 we will film the video. Exact location and filming times will be determined based on number of dancers who register per age group. Each age group will only have to be at filming for roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour.
We will then have the recording edited and will play the special video to close out the recital.
Cost is a one time fee of $36 and includes the Recital Tshirt, rehearsal and filming.
Once you register in the parent portal, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to a survey to submit the tshirt size for your dancer(s).
Important Finale Dates:
Saturday 4/1 - Last day to sign up and last day to submit t-shirt size via survey.
Saturday 4/15 - Choreography Videos will be available in the parent portal to learn the dance.
Saturday 5/20 - In studio rehearsal after 2:30pm
Sunday 5/21 - In person filming at TBD location/times
CLIX Costume Picture Day: Save The Date!
We will be doing Picture Day on Sunday June 4th at the studio. Sign ups will open Monday May 15th. Picture day participation is optional. Picture packages and cost will be available when sign ups open.
Recital Tights Ordering
We will open recital tights ordering starting March 15th. All orders are due by 4/15. You will be able to purchase the tights right through the parent portal. Once you log in, click the online store (shopping cart icon) and just select the recital tights options and select sizing and how many pairs you would like to buy. We will know color/style based on your dancers class(es). We will reach out directly if we need any clarification on which classes you are buying for. All tights are $11/pair. Once buying closes, we will order the tights and send them home once they arrive. Purchasing recital tights through the studio is not mandatory. Just making it one stop shopping and hopefully a little more convenient.
Recital Hair, Shoes, Make-Up, Tights Information
We will have all this information available in the parent portal under the costume icon by Friday March 24th.
Recital Packet will also be available by Friday March 24th in the Parent Portal. Click 'Shared Files' and then the folder called 'Recital 2023 Information'.

Recital Tickets Sales Day: Save The Date!
Recital Tickets will be going on sale: Thursday May 18th at 5:00pm
Website link to purchase tickets will go out in a separate email for easy reference a little closer to ticket day. We will also link the ticket website on the studio Facebook and IG pages. Tickets are not available for purchase through the studio, they can only be purchased through the ticketing website.
Ticket cost - $26.00 each. (This includes all ticket processing fees.)
No limits on how many tickets a family can buy.
Please note: We will NOT be selling any tickets at the door this year. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
IMPORTANT RECITAL TICKET INFORMATION:
* Tickets sales will close on Friday June 16th at 8pm or when a show sells out.
* Everyone entering the theater must have a seat and a ticket. This includes infants and toddlers. No exceptions.
* Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be replaced if lost.
* Please make sure to make note of which show your child is in as we cannot exchange tickets if you buy the wrong show.
* Wheelchair Seats: There will be wheelchair accessible seats. They will be identified on the seating chart with wheelchair symbol. Please note: There is no physical chair there, so a wheelchair can take that seat.
* If you have any questions about the ticketing website, purchasing tickets or issues with your code, please call the ticket company directly. They have access to all the information and can assist you.

DANCERS IN CREATIVE MOVEMENT 2, PRE-DANCE and PRE-DANCE 2 CLASSES, THURSDAY BEGINNER HIP HOP
Dancers in our Creative Movement 2, Pre-Dance and Pre-Dance 2 and Thursday Beginner Hip Hop classes will be seated in the audience with their family for the entire show. They will never go backstage. When it is time for their dance, we will call them up to the stage and have a parent get them from the stage at the conclusion of their dance. You WILL need to include them when purchasing your tickets so their seat is with you. However, there will not be a charge for their seat. You will receive a unique coupon code that will deduct the cost of how many dancers you have in your family who have to sit in the audience. A separate email will come closer to ticket sale date with full details.
DANCERS IN ALL OTHER CLASSES (Level 1/Beginner and higher)
All dancers will stay backstage for the entirety of the show. Only 1 person will be allowed to bring them backstage before the show starts. Dancer should be dropped off as quickly as possible. Dancers will not be released until the conclusion of the show. If you have a dancer backstage, after the show is done, we ask for only 1 parent to wait in the theater in their seat. We will be bringing the backstage kids out to the theater a few at a time to the 1 person waiting for them to make sure they connect with their person safely.
Recital Details
Our 16th annual recital is "Sweet 16"
Each show will run about 1 hour. No intermission.
Finale will be played on the big screen.
We will not be having dancers come back to the stage at the end of the show. Instead, dancers will receive their awards as they are exiting the theater.
Dress Rehearsal DATE: Thursday June 15th 2023.
