We are back from our Tucson buying trip and the first semi load has been delivered. There are still pallets coming in from here and there, but most has arrived. Everyone agreed this was one of our most enjoyable and, we feel, successful buying trips we’ve had. We were able to find new vendors, new products and restock great quality in our good old standards. We also found a “special super deal” we’re excited to be able to pass on to you during our 17th Annual Tucson Trunk Show that will start April 1st and run during the whole month of April. Watch for more details in our forthcoming Tucson Trunk Show Teaser emails.
The “hot” item at this years Tucson Gem Shows seemed to be Vivianite. Because of its special care needs, in the past this stone was mostly sought after by collectors. It will now be available at our Tucson Trunk Show in various sizes and price ranges. We’ll be visiting the properties of this stone to see why it has decided to become so available to the masses and share with you our findings in our next month newsletter and at the show. Until then, we’ll be processing away here at Nature’s Treasures.

The March full moon on the 7th marks a great time to work on your self-development. Because of planetary repositioning this month involving Saturn and Pisces, the planets will be in the best position of the year for manifesting. The Spring Equinox on March 20th (also declared Int’l Day of Happiness) will officially bring us Spring, but the true adaptation for the body will probably be on the 12th, when we once again spring forward to daylight savings time. This at least should give us more time and opportunities to recharge our bodies and brains with a good dose of Mother Nature.

Featured Fossil: Pterosaur Tooth |
|
Pterosaurs were some of the earliest flying reptiles dating back to the Cretaceous period approximately 165 million years ago. Their name is derived from the Greek words pteron and saurus, meaning “wing lizard.” This particular species was part of the most evolved in regards to powered flight. The Pterosaur could be up to 40 feet tall and had hollow bones which made them lightweight for flying. They had excellent vision and large brains. Some species of Pterosaurs had beaks with fine needle-like teeth used to strain plankton as part of their diet. Pterosaurs existed alongside the dinosaurs for millions of years and were able to adapt and evolve with the changes of the landscape. Like the dinosaurs, their existence was halted when an asteroid struck the area they inhabited. Pterosaurs were amazing and unique as well as strong and adaptable. If there are obstacles you are facing, maybe a little Pterosaur energy will instill the courage you need to traverse the uncharted territory of your next new adventure. |

Featured Agate: Purple Passion Agate |
|
Purple Passion Agate is from Chihuahua, Mexico. This recently discovered variety is noted for its rich color combinations and patterns. Purple passion agate wide array of colors ranging from soft pink to lavender to deep dark purple and flowering patterns that largely resemble Agua Nueva agate. This agate seems to come in nodules, but actually, it's more of a seam agate and usually comes in smaller chunks.
