Monthly news about Claudia Hafner Watercolor
Opportunities to exhibit are popping up everywhere and all during the Month of March! From Gallery21 Popup Art sale in Wilton Manors, to a special event, Unique Boutique at ArtServe, to indoor exhibits around town, and outdoor exhibits with the Delray Art League at Old School Square and Veterans Park and a day at Loggerhead Marinelife Center for their TurtleFest. Art is for sale at all events, with the outdoor shows exhibiting my full (almost) body of work. Come see me! My Exhibitions & Festivals page gives full details.

I was thrilled to receive an Honorable Mention for my painting 'Inner Tranquility' at the National League of American Pen Women - Fort Lauderdale Branch Annual Exhibit. I was also juried into the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens group exhibit, Impressions.

I have updated my website a bit to make it easier to navigate. In April, I am hoping to revamp the whole shopping experience on my website to include my merchandise as well. I sell merchandise at some of my outdoor shows and bringing the sales to my website only makes sense. It will be a job to set it up, but something I have wanted for a long time.

I hope to see some of you around town! March 2-3 I'll be at Old School Square next to the Green Market. I'm in a great spot and hard to miss. Thank you to those who turned out this past weekend to make it a success.

March 1 - April 30

Special event on March 30, 10-4, Celebration of the Arts, with workshops, activities and exhibits.
Renaissance Angel is a special piece, painted from a candle holder my mother gave me. I have a special fondness for angels.
Iguana in Velvet Hues was painted as part of a theme 'in velvet hues'. Iguanas can be quite colorful and it lent itself quite nicely.
Purple Gallinule was one of the first birds I learned about from a visitor to my booth responding to my paintings of colorful birds. I had to look it up!
Sandhill Crane and Babe. Who could resist this scene.
" Impressions" a group exhibit.
Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, Fort Lauderdale
March 7 - April 28

My piece was one of 52 juried entries from 400 applicants.
Awards
Honorable Mention for Inner Tranquility at the National League of American Pen Women - Fort Lauderdale Branch Annual Exhibit At Skolnick Community Center in Pompano Beach.

Jurist Beth Ravitz Beverly commented about Inner Tranquility, " Wonderful watercolor done professionally, right amount of suggestion and right amount of real" and also "An artwork that brings all the important components mastered in composition, and the vivid use of color balanced with dynamic use of the white paper".

This piece represents a scene at the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens from the far end of the pond looking toward the coast. Juxtaposition of urban development and the 'inner tranquility' of the Bonnet House grounds intrigued me.
Large Format Prints
Just sold this 40"x40" Sea Turtle No. 14 at Art on the Square. Collector is decorating newly purchased home. Custom orders available.
Reproduction Print 36x36"
Large format behind 1/4" acrylic
Reproduction Print 40x40"
Large format behind 1/4" acrylic
Large format prints are reproductions of my work, enlarged and printed on high quality paper behind 1/4" acrylic glass. These large-format prints are designed for large spaces and appear dimensional because of the thickness of the acrylic. The acrylic gives them a watery feel. Sleek with no need for frames.

Custom sizing is available which will be proportional to the original painting proportions. I can crop for special sizing needs (change a horizontal into a square for instance).

There is approximately a 2 week turnaround time.

Contact me with questions or special requests.
