The Special Education Foundation
Shannon Benedek, SEF program and communications manager, shared the following information about the Special Education Foundation and the work they do.
The Special Education Foundation (SEF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering students with disabilities served by the Special School District. Through innovative programs and partnerships, SEF enhances independence, improves social skills, and helps students achieve meaningful life aspirations. SEF strives to provide the tools for students to succeed in and beyond the classroom.
SEF assists teachers in implementing creative projects for students with disabilities without having to dip into their own pockets. Our Classroom Innovation Grants program positively impacts the most students and provides educators with the tools they need to help their students succeed where otherwise would be cost-prohibitive.
Visit the SEF website to learn more about SEF and ways you can continue to support it through volunteer efforts or donations.
