Brooklyn Coop Monthly Newsletter
Our First Town Hall
We held our first Membership Town Hall this past Thursday, February 21st, 2019 and it was a great success! Our CEO, Samira Rajan, started things off explaining Brooklyn Coop's connection to the cooperative movement in history. We want members to see themselves as more than just transactors but also as owners, investors, and partners with the goal of promoting economic security within our community. A big thanks to our group facilitators, Mike Sandmel from New Economy Project , Lauren Hudson from CEANYC and Mark Winston Griffith from Brooklyn Movement Center . Thank you also to our members, Stumpy's Spot and Do & Doughnut for catering. Stay tuned for our next Town Hall planned for May 18, the same day as our Annual Meeting.
