March 9, 2019 - Volume 17 Issue 3

Because of YOU, The Caring Place exceeded our Amplify Austin goal of $25,000!  At the end of the day, you helped us raise $43,683 for all programs here at The Caring Place!  This is amazing! Later this spring we expect that number to increase when the bonus funds from St. David's Foundation are added.  We are incredibly grateful for our community's contributions during this campaign.  It felt good knowing you support the mission here and you took action when we told you your funds would be "amplified."  Amplify Austin day truly is a wonderful time to give, and we can't thank you enough for your part!  To read our internal information release on this event, please view our media page...
The Giving that Sparked a Blog Post

The things that go on under our noses in this community are pretty amazing.  Montessori schools, Chiropractor's offices, apartment complexes, quilt stores, gyms and more have all been caught on social media in the last couple of months hosting food drives.  We usually give them a shout out or a share in the world of Facebook or Instagram.  These businesses remind us how generous this community is on any given day.  However, these two groups, pictured below, invited us to meet them in February and they had a giving story to tell.  What do these kids from Pickett Elementary and these active adults from the 100 block of Scissortail in Sun City have in common?  Read our latest blog post to find out...

Curious about what we do here at The Caring Place and don't know how to go about asking? Let us share what drives the heart of the organization at "Chat & Chew." Our Community Engagement Manager will walk you through the basics of The Caring Place including who we help, what programs we offer, our beautiful history, how we are funded and the impact we make in Georgetown and northern Williamson County. And, you can do all of this over lunch!  The March 27th meeting will be located in the upstairs Board Room at 2000 Railroad Avenue.

To RSVP, call Rita Turner at 512-943-0702 or email her a . As lunch is included with this event and space is limited, you must RSVP with Rita to participate in The Caring Place Chat & Chew event. We look forward to meeting you!
