My dear friends and clients...
Happy St. Patty's Day. For some great Irish proverbs, click on the above shamrocks...just to get into the spirit of the day!!!
If you have been following our weather, you will know that March came in like a lion, which means she will go out like a lamb. That is good news because we are seeing quite a bit of listing action already! Spring is a most special time in the Flathead. We had record snowfall this year, so it may take a bit longer to plow out Glacier Park but the valleys will be gorgeous and green as usual!
Last weekend, I hosted a really fun event. We had a Dino-Mite Fun Day with expert Jack Horner. He is such a fascinating gentleman and a native of Shelby, Montana. His passion for dinosaurs started when he accompanied his dad who owned a sand and gravel business. He found a dinosaur bone on an excavation job and that got him hooked! Jack's presentation was phenomenal, followed by a family arts and crafts event and a showing of "Jurassic Park." What a great way to spend time with our Bigfork families and thank you to the United Methodist Church, the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center and the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts for providing the venues. I love living in Bigfork.
St. Patty's Day is upon us. I have always thought I was part Irish and part Native American, so to be sure, I have subscribed to Ancestry.com and am getting my DNA done. Stay tuned for the results!
Now let's talk real estate. As expected the Federal Reserve announced this week that they will raise interest rates by a quarter of a percent.
Read more here. As for our local market....Last year, we saw median prices in the Flathead Valley increase by about 5% with an increased interest in development and 830 new residential units. Another interesting highlight is the median price--$255,000--the highest in Flathead County history! For more detailed information,

If you want to list your property, please call me!
Something to consider when listing your property is price. It's the key factor. If not competitive with other comparative properties on the market that have recently sold, it will be unlikely to sell and becomes shopworn the longer it stays on the market. My experience and expertise will guide you to the right price. Call me! We'll go have dinner and talk.
Happy Spring (fingers crossed)!
Denise
