Dear Friends and Supporters, As we move into the second week of March, Kids’ Chance of Maryland is entering a busy stretch of the year. With our first major event happening this week, it’s a great moment to share a few key updates. Kids’ Chance of Maryland is proud to announce that we have achieved Level 3 status with Kids’ Chance of America — a recognition of strong governance, transparency, and mission‑aligned operations. This accomplishment reflects the commitment of our board, the steady support of our management team, and the generosity of volunteers and supporters across Maryland.
My sincere appreciation goes to all who have registered for the KCMD Bowling for Scholarships event on March 11 — including teams, sponsors, and supporters. Your involvement sets a strong tone for our 2026 event season. We are also pleased to share that former KCMD Scholarship Recipient Jaden Campbell (2020–2024), along with her parents, will be joining us at the event and may be participating on the Workers’ Comp Law Firm sponsored team. Their presence is a meaningful reminder of the impact this community makes possible. Our spring and summer events are on the horizon, including the 2nd Annual Crab Feast on June 24 and the KCMD Annual Golf Tournament on July 23. Registration is now open for both events, please mark your calendars.
KCMD will also be represented at the Kids’ Chance of America National Conference, April 13–15, 2026, in San Diego. Board members Jeff Horowitz and Alan Gross will attend on behalf of Kids’ Chance of Maryland, helping ensure we remain aligned with national best practices and emerging ideas that support our scholars. Your support makes every scholarship and every student success possible. As we head into the bowling event this week and the busy months ahead, we’re grateful to have you with us.
With sincere appreciation,
Edgar G. Dodd, III
President, Kids' Chance of Maryland
