It has been a busy time for the board members. The Fall Aging Conference Steering Committee has had their first meeting and planning has been set in motion.  The program committee is being finalized so they can start looking for a theme and speakers for the conference.  If any of you have great ideas for this year's conference, please let Georgene Connelly know. Georgene is the MASWA Co-chair of the Fall Aging Conference this year.

The Board has also been brainstorming about charities to donate to this year.  We have several possibilities in mind, but can always use more ideas.  If you have an organization in mind, please let one of the board members know at the membership meeting this month.

The Board of Directors has a need for Members at Large and a Nomination Chairperson.  If you have ever felt you might like to serve on the Board, now is the time for you to join.  The Members at Large are on the executive committee and are responsible for planning the Spring Luncheon and Annual Meeting.  It is a fun committee to be on.  The Nomination Chair is responsible for bringing people interested in serving on the Board to the Board's attention for nomination to the board.   Please let any current Board member know about your interest.

I'm heading to Hawaii at the end of the week - it's part of my "Hurry up spring effort"!  I will miss the March membership meeting, but will see all of you in April.
