Minnesota CARD Grant Plug Load Research Study Call for Participants
Reducing building energy use is critical to reducing overall operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Plug load energy use (computers, etc.) in office buildings has increased, especially in contrast to the decrease in other end uses in high performance buildings. The Energy Center of Wisconsin, LHB, and CEE are conducting research funded by the Minnesota Department of Commerce with the goal of identifying and prioritizing plug load reduction strategies based on their potential to help achieve Minnesota's energy savings goals. There is still a need for 30 to 50 office sites (tenant spaces or buildings) with a willingness to complete an online characterization of their electric devices and use patterns. Please complete the online survey via the link found here.
