Lymphoma Research Foundation Presents 2014 Minnesota Hope Award to MN Oncology NurseLaurieM

  

Minnesota Oncology nurse Laurie Montgomery understands what patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment are experiencing. A survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Montgomery has used her nursing degree and her personal experience with cancer to provide compassionate, exceptional patient care. On Thursday, Feb. 20, Montgomery received the Lymphoma Research Foundation's 2014 Minnesota Hope Award, which is given annually to an individual "who has worked diligently to LRF's mission through supporting research and outstanding patient care."      Read more... Petryk

Minnesota Oncology Clinics "Dress in Blue" to Promote Colon Cancer Awareness

Minnesota Oncology's clinics helped increase awareness about colorectal cancer by participating in Dress in Blue Day. They wore blue, offered blue treats, decorated the clinics in blue, and distributed flyers with important information on colorectal cancer screening, prevention and treatment.

Team Registration Now Available for Hope in Motion 

 

On Sunday, June 1, 2014, Minnesota Oncologywill host a National Cancer Survivors Day� celebration. Activities for cancer survivors, caregivers, family members, friends, healthcare professionals, ans supporters include a 5K Walk/Run, a 1-Mile Family Walk, a Kids Dash, movement exercises and inspirational and informative speakers.

MNO Physician Educates Local Teens about HPV

Human papillomavirus (HPV) related cancers are on the rise. Recognizing this fact, Minnesota Oncology's Dr. David King, who practices at our Fridley Clinic,  is doing his part to spread awareness about HPV and sexually transmitted diseases among local teens.Over the course of 2013, Dr. King presented HPV and cancer prevention talks in health classes at Fridley and Coon Rapids high schools, reaching nearly 300 students. Minnesota Oncology's Coon Rapids location recently relocated to the brand new Mercy Specialty Center located across the street from Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.View photos of our newest clinic here and watch the Community Cable TV video below (featuring MNO's Dr. Joseph Cardamone) to learn more about the new medical center.
