Welcome, Dr. Randall Smith!

The Center is thrilled to welcome Dr. Randy Smith, who will be working as a Relocation Specialist! Dr. Smith, a Professor of Political Science at Franklin College, has lead tours/groups that connect Hoosiers with places like Chicago, St. Louis, New York, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Tokyo. He says that, "serving as a Relocation Specialist permits [him] the opportunity to continue to connect with people from around the world by introducing them to Hoosiers and all that Indy has to offer." Welcome to the team!

Convene:

Our Spring 2024 intern cohort recently hosted the Head Consul, Maki Teramoto, of the Consulate of Mexico in Indianapolis for a lunch. The interns were able to ask questions and receive answers about her involvements with the Consulate, the community, and career advice for the interns.

On behalf of the interns at The International Center, thank you to Maki Teramoto for visiting and giving us your kind words of wisdom.

Connect:

We were delighted to partner with the Indiana-Germany Business Council and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to host a reception at Tastings - A Wine Experience for two delegations from Germany: one led by German Parliamentarian Michael Link, and another led by Wine Princess of Germany Jessica Himmelsbach. Our alumni from the James T. Morris Global Leadership Series were able to network with both delegations along with members of IGBC.
